Novum have worked with New Charter, a social housing group in the North West, for a number of years to support them to achieve a coaching culture. We designed a coaching culture initiative, aimed at providing New Charter people with the skills and confidence to lead others through change and growth. This was delivered through a number of interventions that would support people to open up (in a safe environment), to recognise current leadership approaches and develop new skills in coaching and honest conversations:
At the start of our journey the New Charter Group was under-performing, with low levels of customer satisfaction and low morale. They have since become a leading player in their sector with some of the highest customer satisfaction scores, and outstanding staff engagement figures. They have achieved significant rankings in the Sunday Times Top 100 companies for the last three years, and their success has been ascribed to their commitment to organisation development and particularly, the development of the top team and the creation of a coaching culture.
