About Rebecca Kirk

As Programme Support Coordinator, I ensure the smooth running of our courses by producing the educational materials for our programmes. I also support the wider Novum team with any additional tasks they require of me.

What matters most to me

Living and working ethically, in a way which values other people.

How my work aligns or connects with this

As part of our offering, Novum teaches people to treat others with empathy.

My ideal weekend

This would involve being with good friends, spending some time outdoors and getting some culture at a gig, museum or the cinema.

My favourite place

My university city of York.

My favourite quote

‘The best moments in reading are when you come across something – a thought, a feeling, a way of looking at things – which you had thought special and particular to you. Now here it is, set down by someone else, a person you have never met, someone even who is long dead. And it is as if a hand has come out and taken yours’ by Alan Bennett from The History Boys.

A book recommendation

The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath.
